The mission of J. E. Moss Elementary School library is to prepare each child for a successful future by providing access to the best educational, instructional and recreational resources available.

Our goal is to promote the love of reading and the use of information in print, multimedia, and telecommunications.

J. E. Moss is a Library Power School in the Metropolitan Nashville School District. Students may come to the Library Media Center everyday or with their class as needed on a flexible schedule to participate in resource-based learning. To view the important skills we study, view our TIPS guide (Teaching Information Processing Skills). We are an integrated program with a focus upon the state and national standards of curriculum.

We cherish our parent/grandparent/community relationships.  If you would like to volunteer in the library, please stop by the library.  We always have a variety of  tasks to do.  Because we are one of the busiest places in the school, we really need your help any time during the day.  This is one way you can take an active part in your child's learning.  Looking forward to meeting you.
